Call To Prayer In the quiet of evening
I turn to You, my God,
resting in Your loving presence.
Psalm
Antiphon:
I seek Yahweh with all my heart.
I will bless Yahweh at all times;
praise shall continually be in my mouth
My soul shall rejoice in Yahweh.
Let the humble hear it and be glad.Glorify Yahweh who answered me
and freed me from all my fears.
Those who look to Yahweh are radiant;
their faces are never put to shame.The poor called:Yahweh heard
and saved them out of all their troubles
The lions may grow weak and hungry
but those who seek Yahweh shall lack nothing good.--Psalm 34
The Word: Mark 8:27-30
Then Jesus and his disciples went out
for the villages around Caesarea Philippi.
On the way He asked His disciples this question,
"Who do people say that I am?"They replied,"Some, John the Baptizer, others, Elijah.
Still others, one of the prophets.""Who do you say that I am?"
Peter answered Him: "You are the Messiah!"
Then he gave them strict orders not to tell anyone about Him.
For Reflection
Imagine Jesus saying to you, "Who do you say that I am?"
What is your response?
Prayer
Another day draws to a close.
I praise You, my God,
for Your presence in my life.
You are my strength and my hope.
