Call To Prayer Loving God, I bless Your name.
In the evening I know Your strength.
| Psalm |
Antiphon:
To all who love Your saving power,
give cause to say, "God is great."I waited and waited for You, Yahweh
Now at last You have turned to me and heard my cry for help.
You have lifted me out of the horrible pit, out of the slough of the marsh;
You set my feet on a rock and steadied my steps.You have put a new song in my mouth -- a song of praise,
Many will look on in awe and will put their trust in You.
Happy those who put their trust in God
and do not side with rebels who stray after false gods.How many wonders You have done for us, Yahweh, our God!
How many plans you have made for us! You have no equal.
I want to proclaim Your deeds again and again,
but they are more than I can count.You, who wanted no sacrifice or oblation, opened my ear;
You asked no holocaust or sacrifice for sin.
Then I said "Here I am!" I have come;
For Your part,Yahweh do not withhold Your mercy from me!May your love and faithfulness constantly protect me.
Joy and gladness for all who seek You.
To all who love Your saving power
Give constant cause to say "God be glorified."--Psalm 34
| The Word - Mark 4:30 |
They returned to Capernaum
and Jesus, once inside the house,
began to ask them:
"What were you discussing on the way home?"At this they fell silent
for on the way they had been arguing
about who was the most important.So he sat down and called the twelve around him and said,
"If anyone wishes to rank first,
he must remain the last one of all
and the servant of all."Then he took a little child,
stood him in their midst
and, putting his arms around him, said to them:"Whoever welcomes a child
such as this for my sake welcomes me,
and whoever welcomes me welcomes not me
but Him who sent me."

What can we say the Kingdom of God is like?
Prayer
Gracious God,
I am grateful to You tonight
for the deep truths You speak
through the message of Jesus.
Help me to hear and to do his word.
