Wednesday Morning
Call To Prayer Loving God,
I praise Your name:
in the morning
I know Your peace.
Psalm
Antiphon:
In the daytime may God allow love to come to me.
Like the deer that yearns for running stream,
so my soul is yearning for You, my God.
My soul is thirsting for God, the living God.
When can I enter to see the face of God?My tears have become my food night and day
And I hear it said all day long,
"Where is your God?Why are you so sad, my soul?
Why sigh within me?
Hope in God, for I will yet praise my Savior and my God.Deep is calling of deep as the waterfalls roar:
Your breakers and all your waves crashed over me.
By day Yahweh will send loving kindness;
by night I will sing praise to the God of my life.--Psalm 42
The Word: Mark 4:21-23
Jesus said to them:"Is a lamp acquired to be put
under a bushel basket or hidden under a bed?
Is it not meant to be put on a stand?
Things are hidden only to be reveal at a later time;
they are covered so to be brought out to the open.
Let the one who has ears to hear me, hear!"
For Reflection
What does this parable say to me about my light and where it shines?
Prayer
God of light,
I praise You as I ponder the teachings of Jesus.
Help me to be true to the Light within me
that I may be comfort and healing
for the people in my life.
