A Passionist
in Japan,

Retreats
for religious women last for ten days and are structured for the different
groups. We are involved in offering spiritual conferences, group dialogue,
and meetings for personal spiritual direction.
My principal ministry
during retreats is to celebrate the Eucharist, to administer the sacrament
of reconciliation, to give conferences and meditations, and to offer
spiritual direction.
I'm very committed
to this ministry and apostolate, because it enables me to follow in
the footsteps of our founder, St. Paul of the Cross, and at the same
time, it responds to the signs of the times for the church in Japan.
It is a delicate and necessary service to religious women, especially,
who have such a significant and necessary role in the life of the Japanese
church. I feel it corresponds to the great challenge that is ours as
contemplative, missionary Passionists.
