Pray the Second Glorious Mystery

The Ascension of Jesus Into Heaven

Our Father

Before Jesus was taken up, he gave instructions by the power of the Holy Spirit to the men he had chosen as his apostles. (Acts 1,2) - Hail Mary

For forty days after his death he appeared to them many times in ways that proved beyond doubt that he was alive. (Acts 1,3) - Hail Mary

And when they came together, he gave them this order: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift I told you about, the gift my Father promised." (Acts 1,4) - Hail Mary

Jesus said to them... "when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1,8) - Hail Mary

After saying this, he was taken up to heaven as they watched him, and a cloud hid him from their sight. (Acts 1,9) - Hail Mary

They still had their eyes fixed on the sky as he went away, when two men dressed in while suddenly stood beside them and said,"Galileans, why are you standing looking up at the sky?" (Acts 1,10-11)
- Hail Mary

Then the apostles went back to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, which is about a mile away from the city. (Acts 1,12) - Hail Mary

They gathered frequently to pray as a group, together with the women and with Mary the mother of Jesus and with his brothers. (Acts 1,14) - Hail Mary

The disciples went and preached everywhere. (Mark 16,20) - Hail Mary

And the Lord worked with them and proved that their teaching was true by the miracles that were performed. (Mark 16,20) - Hail Mary

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.
